Day4 Coast to Gorge to Coast

After a thrilling day yesterday, followed by a great and late night out we awakened post lay-in to another dose of glorious sunshine, but this time with the sweet undertone of the Mediterranean sea wafting in over the terrace where we all ate breakfast.

We were having a much more chilled day, with a cruise to the impressive and ancient Gorges Du Verdon through the pine forest Parc Naturel du Verdon, then along and down the route Napoleon onto the seaside again in the form of the Provence town of Nice in the Cote d'Azur.

The incredible waters of Lac de Sainte Croix - close up of the exit of the Gorge - Some of the guys checking the view

Blues skies, electric blue Lotus, and stunning views of the limestone gorge eroded over millennia to a depth of 700m

Deep in the meandering gorge; how nice they put a road that followed the curves so perfectly

Out the other side a mighty peak- And from Route Napoleon you can see, Cannes, Cap d'Antibes & Nice

When we came out of the Gorge it was a long descent to the coast. The road was open, sweeping with spectacular views of the Cote D'Azur. The drive-inspiring roads just continue.

As this was an easy day some and allowed the Euro Blasters some rest, some took the initiative with the time given to them and drove to Monaco to circle the Grand Prix circuit and have dinner over looking the marina, while the rest of us chilled, walked along the beautiful Promenade des Anglais and had dinner in the old town.

Another great day, that enabled us to chill, soak up some incredible scenery, snake throw a massive gorge and prepare for the exciting assault of the Monaco WRC stages and the highest road in Europe, tomorrow.
