It was in the end an excellent, relaxed sunny day, but it started off all too worrisome with a heavy blanket of fog, and no wind to move it.

With the 48 very mixed cars from Stock Hatch racing Saxo's, a baby Seat, Audi's, a fleet of BMW CSL's, supped up MG ZS, Evo's, monster power Subaru's, and a few Porsches the potential of the on track action was dripping with anticipation.

But we all had to wait a short time, with only slow pace car laps while the fog just sat over head. And it almost hysterically seemed that the drag from the cars rotating was pulling more fog onto the circuit. So the Track Masters team were busy planning an alternative of an autocourse over the start/finish straight to get everyone into the action.

And just as we had designed a course and got the all clear from the kind management at Castle Combe the fog lifted and we were able to start our Spring Blast proper.

We were left with clear blue skies and a warming sunshine for the rest of the day. The delay must have also calmed those in the paddock and subdued that early morning track action angst, as the attendee's were too busy enjoying themselves milling about and chatting with each other to get out on track. This slight delay also had the advantage of improving etiquette on the circuit which was exemplary, and everybody thoroughly enjoyed some high speed, hassle free lapping. That along with the open pitlane resulted in a great, GREAT day, and fun was had by all.
